Wind Power with Solar

We have added wind power to the solar up in the Marin County hills. It works perfectly as the wind kicks up every evening and through the night. 👍

Two competing phone carrier contracts

Since we are a phone company now we have technical contracts with two top level carriers. These carriers are relatively unknown to the public. Creating or taking possession of a public telephone number is a very different process between these two voice network carriers. We’re rewriting all of our procedures. The one carrier is a little easier to take ownership of someone’s telephone number but very complicated trying to get the caller ID, caller name, and the 9-1-1 address location registered.
On the other hand, this second carrier is complicated with forms and procedures to acquire a telephone number. But once we go through all of the procedures, customizing the caller ID, number branding (CNAM), and 9-1-1 addressing is a snap and really flexible. We are begining to like it. We think we will be using the complicated one more because it gives our customers a lot of cool options.
All that aside, the way each of these monster carriers connect to our VastraMEDIA system is completely different. That is another story for another day.
