Wind Power with Solar

We have added wind power to the solar up in the Marin County hills. It works perfectly as the wind kicks up every evening and through the night. 👍

Meeting a hopefully new customer in Sonoma this afternoon.
Looks like the Ubiquiti Mesh will be the order of the day.  👍

Two competing phone carrier contracts

Since we are a phone company now we have technical contracts with two top level carriers. These carriers are relatively unknown to the public. Creating or taking possession of a public telephone number is a very different process between these two voice network carriers. We’re rewriting all of our procedures. The one carrier is a little easier to take ownership of someone’s telephone number but very complicated trying to get the caller ID, caller name, and the 9-1-1 address location registered.
On the other hand, this second carrier is complicated with forms and procedures to acquire a telephone number. But once we go through all of the procedures, customizing the caller ID, number branding (CNAM), and 9-1-1 addressing is a snap and really flexible. We are begining to like it. We think we will be using the complicated one more because it gives our customers a lot of cool options.
All that aside, the way each of these monster carriers connect to our VastraMEDIA system is completely different. That is another story for another day.

First phone number port-over

I admit I was a little nervous using my business number as the first telephone number to port over to the Twilio developer’s site. 707-573-7272
But it happened. And it’s working quite magnificent. I do need to work on the outbound call branding. It needs to say Bennett Valley Tel at least. It’s a work in progress. And I’m having a lot of fun doing it!

Daylight this day

With each additional minute, new opportunities unfold. Let’s unfold them together.

Before

Dillon Beach Community Relay

I am hoping to provide you with an “after” picture with all the hardware replaced and ready to go live.

Local!

This IT service call was so close I walked it.
But I had to chuckle because I hopped in the car and poked it into the GPS and proceeded to start driving when I found myself making a turn only a few blocks away from the customer. Feeling a little foolish I drove around the block and brought the car home, grabbed my laptop and took that lengthy one and a half minute walk. 🤣

Mobile blogging

25 #AI Trends to monitor in 2025. If you have not heard of "AI Agents" they will be very important moving forward. I am looking to set them up for several things. Including a #DigiByte core update Agent that does heavy lifting for $DGB code maintenance.

As I provide internet service to patrons and vendors here at the fisherman's festival, I thought I would settle down on one of these nice bales of hay and have some hot soup 🤣

Pre- WW3 shopping trip ✅. All gas tanks filled✅. Absolutely amazed to see how oblivious people are right now to whats happening. Just wait until the COVD era TP run starts again. 🤣🤣🤣
